Father John Misty - Chloë and the Next 20th Century

Release Date: April 8th, 2022

The talented Maryland musician will return for his fifth studio album on April 8th, and his first since God’s Favorite Customer back in 2018. Expect a dense, self-indulgent and beautiful record both orchestral and bold. Latest single “Goodbye Mr. Blue” has a lovely heartwarming 70’s feel to it and showcases the spectrum of talent on display.

 

Flume - Palaces

Release Date: May 20th, 2022

The off-kilter EDM producer Flume is releasing his first studio album in six years. The multi-Grammy-award-winning talent has dropped two singles off the upcoming record - first with “Say Nothing” feat. MAY-A an upbeat dance tune, followed by a more quintessential Flume sounding “Sirens” feat. Caroline Polachek. Vocal appearances figure to be large on Palaces, including a tantalizing tease of the title track with Damon Albarn.

 

Arcade Fire - WE

Release Date: May 6th, 2022

Arcade Fire brought in Radiohead producing legend Nigel Godrich to record their sixth and latest album, WE. So far, the band has dropped one single in “The Lightning I, II”, complete with a music video. The concept behind WE breaks the seven-song album into two distinct halves, I - which sings about isolation, and WE which is about bring people back together. One the most reliable bands when it comes to bringing incredible new music, this is a highly anticipated release for 2022.

 

Florence + The Machine - Dance Fever

Release Date: May 13th, 2022

Recorded in London over the course of the pandemic, Dance Fever is described by the singer as “a fairytale in 14 songs”. Three singles from it have been released, with the latest being the epic singalong dance tune - “My Love”. The fifth studio album can be expected to soar with ear-worms and gigantic choruses.

 

Fontaines D.C. - Skinty Fia

Release Date: April 22nd, 2022

Post-punk Dublin rockers Fontaines D.C. are following up their 2020 album A Hero’s Death that catapulted them into the spotlight complete with a Grammy nom. The title track, “Skinty Fia”, has been released as a single and is an absolute vibe with a brooding and hypnotic sound.

 

Soccer Mommy - Sometimes, Forever

Release Date: June 24th, 2022

Direct, vulnerable, and often grim - Soccer Mommy returns with her third album, complete with single “Shotgun”. The single is akin to a 90’s rock Summer tune and is everything that makes Soccer Mommy a great listen - it’s catchy, simple, with a great ear for hooks.
