Donald Glover, or Childish Gambino, as he is known in the hip-hop community, has announced a 13-date arena tour across North America. Set with a September 6th start date, the tour kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia and continues to hit up some of the biggest venues America has to offer over a three-week stretch, before ending in Vancouver, BC.

With appearances booked at arenas like TD Garden, Madison Square Garden, Oracle Arena, and many more, the tour is sure to be the large-budget extravaganza that Childish Gambino fans have been waiting for.

Glover has been busy over the past several years, expending most of his energy on notable Hollywood projects. Most significantly, he has spent the last year working on titles such as Disney’s "Han Solo" anthology film and the live-action remake of "The Lion King" . In addition, he has also been putting the final touches on the second season of his critically acclaimed television series, Atlanta, which broadcasts on the consistently quality FX network. With his name tethered to such important projects, it’s easy to see why his Childish Gambino career has been put on hold. One thing is for sure though, hip-hop fans far and wide are happy to see this announcement.

The news could not have come at a better time, as Glover is still riding high from the success of his latest album, Awaken, My Love!, which was Grammy-nominated for Album of the Year, and features the track “Redbone,” which won the Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance. It’s no surprise that his team is trying to build on the hard work that went into producing such a widely accepted piece of art. With a Grammy win attached to his name, and a slew of massive Hollywood productions set to be released in the next two years, Glover’s career is sure to continue on the upward trajectory for some time to come.

In addition to the North American dates, Glover has also announced another edition of his “immersive virtual reality, multi-sensory concert experience” known as Pharos, which is set to take place from November 23rd-25th in Auckland, New Zealand.
